Fourth of July

I was so excited for the fourth this year. Alex is finally old enough that he could enjoy the parade and stay up late enough for fireworks. We went to the Murray city parade, where Alex liked looking at all the cars and trucks, and collecting loads of candy. Much more than we could ever eat.

After the parade we let Kalen nap, then went to Murray Park. They advertised a lot of free activities, but it was a total letdown. We stayed maybe 30 minutes. Stephen's brother and his family came up to celebrate with then. We went to a friend's house where we had a BBQ, and enjoyed having a backyard!

We started the small fireworks early, the kids were getting restless. We saved the sparklers and bigger fireworks for later. It was such a fun day with good family, friends, and remembering what a special place our country is.
