Kalens first birthday

I love this little man so much. He was definitely hard in the beginning, and we all had to adjust to having a second little one, but we wouldn't have it any other way. On his birthday I got to spend a little one on one time in the morning with him before Alex woke up. I love his sweet smiles.

For breakfast we had pancakes with sprinkles. He loved them!

During the day we kept it low key and just went the park with friends.

We had a birthday dinner of pizza, and cookies for dessert since we're going to have cake for his birthday party on Saturday. He loved his first chocolate chip cookie.

After cookies he (Alex) opened his present, a car ramp. Alex is playing with it more than him for now, but I'm sure that'll change.

At one year Kalen is 29 in and 21 lbs 3 oz, which ironically is the almost exactly the same size Alex was at a year. He is a speed crawler. He cruises along furniture, but can't stand on his own yet.

He loves cars, and anything with wheels. Alex and Kalen are starting to play together more, but Alex can still be so mean to him. Kalen adores Alex though. When we're sitting at the table Kalen loves to lay his head to the side and waits for us to do it too. It's his favorite game.
