Change

Change is the one thing you can count on. I just finished the book Heaven is Here by Stephanie Nielson. One day her husband, flight instructor, and she went on a small plane. During the flight the plane crashed. The flight instructor was killed, her husband broke her back, burned 20% of his body, along with other injuries. She burned 80% of her body and was in a coma for three months. After she awoke she had to relearn how to use her body, and have continuous series. Her life changed forever, my heart broke when I read all the challenges she faced. It is amazing to see that through it all she kept her faith and knew that Heavenly Father was aware of her and was helping/blessing her along the way. I highly recommend you read it.

This week we've had our own change. On Friday Stephen was laid off due to department cuts. Seeing that he brings it 90% of the income this is a challenge for us. I am reminding myself though to have faith, and that Heavenly Father is in the details. He will help us along the way, as long as we are doing our part.

Our immediate plans are to take a week vacation. Stephen has been working so hard with school and work that he deserves it. We have fun things planned throughout the week and Friday we are going to Rexburg to see friends and just have fun. After that the application process will begin, and Stephen will work on getting more certification to look more desirable. School starts in three weeks and he has a full load there as well.

We are open to where the new job will be. Stephen wants to leave Utah and go back to Tennessee. (This is where we would like to move eventually) I would rather stay here because of school, my family, and it is easier to just get a job then move across the country. We'll see where this journey takes use though.

That can certainly be a challenge! As one who has been there, I must say that having faith and relying on the Lord as you said is the best thing you can do.

Wishing you the best!
