Vacation part 1

We are enjoying our "staycation". Stephen started out the week by making an amazing breakfast with eggs sausage, pancakes, and orange juice. Lucky me!

On Tuesday we went to our local community center and went swimming. They have a great kiddie area with a little slide, stairs, lazy river, and shallow water. At first Alex was so scared. I think it was a combination of the noise and size. He held onto me so tight, it was like a death grip. I have never seen him so scared. But after some time he got used to it and really enjoyed it. He splashed, climbed up the stairs, and crawled in the water. Stephen is determined to make him a water baby (unlike me, I don't like water).

Since we were there in the middle of the day we had the place to ourselves. This definitely helped in making Alex more comfortable. He must have had fun though because he came back exhausted. He wanted to be held the rest of the day, and then went to bed an hour early.

We finished out the night by me tutoring, and Stephen watching this cute little girl. She is our neighbor's daughter, and we watched her tonight. She is five months old, and more needy than Alex was, but so cute.
This picture has nothing to do with today but it just cracks me up. Alex tried, and failed, to eat this carrot. It was bigger than his head!
