Alex's theme for his birthday party was a no brainer. He has been obsessed with Mickey Mouse for about six months. He always wants to watch his Mickey Mouse movie, read his Mickey Mouse books and even carries around his Mickey Mouse doll everywhere.
We started his birthday with Mickey Mouse pancakes.
Later that afternoon we went to a bounce house place with one of his friends, Cade. I thought Alex would be apprehension but he jumped right in. He loved jumping (what boy at that age doesn't), and climbing.
After jumping for two hours we went to Barnes and Nobles to get his birthday cookie. It was huge, almost the size of his head.
After resting, and having a dinner of pizza, he opened his present from us. A scooter. Alex did awesome and jumped right on. We hit the nail on the head for his present.
The next day was his birthday party. We kept it low key. It was of course Mickey Mouse themed, so I made Mickey Mouse cupcakes to match. Best part, they were so easy.
Alex loved having his friends and cousins over. The thing he was most excited about though was blowing out his candle. He tried on his birthday, and at his party, but with no success.
