Luckily my Mom's stroke was mild, and thanks to modern medicine she could move all her limbs, and her face was not affected. However, she couldn't be alone for two weeks, and was easily tired, as well as other ways to recover.
Thankfully Alex and Kalen were wonderful on the plane, and people were so nice and helpful.
My dad was home for a couple days before he returned to work. While my mom was resting we took the boys outside to play in the snow. Alex had so much fun. We also knew that we had to take advantage of the fact that it was in the 30s.

Most of the time it was freezing. We're talking ten to -30 degrees. We spent most of our time inside.
My cute boys eating breakfast.
Grandma has the best toys!
To help rebuild my mom's endurance we tried to plan one small outing a day. Usually for about an hour. One day we headed to the Mall of America for toddler Tuesday. They had a Dora theme, which Alex knows nothing about so we didn't stay in that area long. We walked over to the Lego and Peep store. We also looked at Williams Sonoma.
The library by my parents' is amazing. It is sponsored by the Minnesota Children Museum and so is like a mini Kids Museum. So fun.
Alex loved looking at my parents' fish, and going downstairs. He also renamed my parents Grandmama, and Papa. (They like to be called Grandma and Grandpa)
By the time we had to leave my mom was not completely recovered, but in much better condition. Alex and Kalen were just as good on the way back, and people were just as nice.
