Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started with my first half-marathon! I had my alarm set for 6:00 so I could eat a good  breakfast, pump, then be out the door and 7, and arrive at 7:30, a half hour before the race. Of course my alarm didn't go off, and luckily I woke up and checked my phone to see it was 7. I dressed, grabbed a banana and got there at 7:35. Not the morning I had planned, but was on time nonetheless.

There were 700 runners, and I stayed in the middle of the pack. The first half of the race I ran about a 9:45 mile but slowed the last few miles. I finished with a time of 2 hrs and 16 minutes. I was so proud that I met my goal of 2 hrs and 15 minutes. Even with an upset stomach afterwards I loved it and am planning on during another one in the spring.
We headed over to my sisters a little after two. We had such delicious food and feasted.

After digesting we headed over to the theatre to watch Catching Fire. My brother in law graciously offered to watch Alex and Kalen so Stephen and I could go. It was a great  movie and a wonderful way to end the day.
