It is hard to believe that my baby is 22 months. He's not much of a baby anymore! It seems that in the last week the last bit of baby has left him. He is 100% little boy now.
He just had a growth spurt and has quickly outgrown his 18 month clothes. Yesterday he even wore a 2T shirt and I about died. He is out of the "month" clothes. He's weighing in at 25 pounds, and boy do I feel it when I pick him up now.
His favorite thing to do is read books. He is always bringing over a book for me to read to him, and wants me to read it to him over and over. If I let him we would read the same book for an hour straight. Second favorite is building with legos or his new blocks he got for Christmas. Third is crashing his cars.
He's speaking more and more words everyday. The most common are momma, Stephen (he learned daddy's real name while we were in Alabama), Scampers, diaper, apple, no (thankfully he hasn't said no when I tell him to do something yet), and animal noises. We are teaching him the alphabet and he knows d, e, f.
He's still not big on TV which I like, but I wish sometimes I could put on a show to have a break. We've started putting him in time-out. While in Alabama he was pushing all his cousins, so whenever he does it now he goes in his crib for about a minute. It is helping.
He loved yogurt, string cheese, corn, mashed potatoes, apples, oranges, milk, graham crackers, and pb&j.
We love our little boy and can't believe that soon he'll be two!
