What a Week

How can everything happen and nothing happen all at the same time?

First of all Stephen has been super busy with school and work. He went up to Ogden almost every day for either class or taking a test. Not fun for him, but super stinky for me. What am I supposed to with Alex all day for five days? Especially when the temperatures have plummeted and it snowed! Did I mention that Alex is not handling the cold well? He'll walk outside for maybe ten minutes then be done. This really limits our playing options.

Second Alex has decided to not nap. He just plays in his crib until I get him. This would be fine if he didn't get super cranky later because he's tired. Ohhh, the joys of motherhood.

Alex has always liked books. Recently though it has become an obsession. He will bring us book after book to read, or he'll insist that we read the same book to him five or six times in a row. I'm glad he loves books, and I know what it is doing for his language development, but I have to admit it gets a bit much.

Alex is learning animal sounds. My favorite is when he "roars" like a bear.

Lastly, Stephen saw a mouse in our apartment this morning! I am extremely grossed out, and cannot wait for it to leave. We put out poison so hopefully the problem is revolved soon. If nothing else we are moving in November and won't have to worry about it then (fingers crossed).
