Halloween

I kinda winged Halloween this year I went back and forth on whether I should make a big deal out of it because Alex is still young. In the end I thought why not? He already has a costume, so why not use it?

For dinner I tried to make the hot dog mummies I've seen all over the internet. I failed miserably. I assume it tasted well though.
Another reason we almost didn't trick-or-treat was Alex was cranky. He didn't take a nap and was ready for bed by five. The picture below was the happiest  picture I got.

Stephen was at school so I took Alex out with our friends. Their daughter Kaira dressed as an Indian.
In the beginning Alex was confused by it all but at the end he did pretty well. He would pick a candy out of the bowl and put it in his bucket. He preferred the shiny candies.

He got quite the stash. Several houses were passing out the big candy bars. One house even passed out Mountain Dew to the adults. We only planned on going to a few houses but the babies did so well, and we were getting such awesome candy we were out for an hour and a half!
