I love conference. I love listening to the prophets and apostles speak. I love to hear their guidance and direction. October Conference holds a special place in my heart though. So many great things have happened to me in October.
Five years ago I was in the MTC. I had less than a month left before I would leave for Russia. I was so nervous and excited to go to a new country and to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Plus, I don't think there is anything like being in the MTC for conference. It is simply amazing see hundreds of missionaries preparing to serve the Lord, listening to the Lord's chosen servants.
Three years ago is when Stephen proposed. It had been a long time coming. The wedding was being planned, and I already had a dress, but no ring. After Conference we went out to dinner, he took me to the Bountiful Temple and proposed.
Then yesterday I found out I will have a son. I feel so lucky to be pregnant, and to bring a child into this world.
It makes me think though, what does the October Conference have in store for me in the future.
