I was in a crafty mood today, which means it was a dangerous day to go to DI. I am glad I did though, I found some cute things for the apartment. First, I found this. It was supposed to be a lamp, but I am turning it into a candle holder. Now I just need a candle. . .
This I didn't get from DI, my sister gave it to me. But, I put it up with today, so I'll post it. I have really needed something to hold my necklaces so they don't get all tangled in a drawer. Ta da, problem solved.
A place to hold books and DVDs.
I'll use this for something, not sure yet.
This I am really excited about. I want to repaint it, turn the largest part into a chalkboard, then use the bottom for mail, and keys. Before I do all that I need to pick a color. I have no ideas yet. Suggestions?

Ok, for starters-awesome idea on jewelry holder! Wish I had thought of it...Love.I can't tell what size your bucket is, but it would make a good remote control holder; I also like to keep our channel guide in the same basket too. Or a phone/camera holder. Yes I love your 'thingy' too! I like your chalk idea, that'd be cool. You could also make it into a magnet board. They sell magnetic paint-it's very cool. you just paint it on (takes a few coats) and then you can paint any color over it, so the whole thing would be same color. Then you could make those crafty cute easy magnets like I did (or others of course) and that way you could post notes as well as little papers that tend to need viewage, we seem to have lots of those (like invites, events, vt assign., etc) I also got one of those magnetic notepads so that I can write notes/lists as well easily.
I need to see your place! Wish we ha da bit more time today. Hey, we could come up Tues or Fri evening maybe. Anyway, hope that helps spark an idea or two-call me if you want, I love scheming craftiness :)
I like it! I had thought of making it magnetic also, but didn't know how to do it. Thanks for the ideas
Nice finds!
