I was right

After feeling a little bit better in the moring, but terrible last night I decided to go to the doctor. Which was so nice because now we have insurance!

I told her my symptoms and the doctor said she didn't think it was strep because there hadn't been any cases of strep for at least three months, but she did the test anyway. It came out positive. I was glad to figure out what has been going on with me, but I am still trying to figure out who I got it from. I don't know anyone who has strep.

So the doctor said that I can have a shot instead of pills. I can get a shot of penicilin instead, which works much quicker than pills. She said that I should be feeling a lot better tomorrow. I am all for that. What they didn't tell me is where the shot was going to be given. I figured in the arm, but boy was I wrong. It was in the butt, hip area. A little akward, and painful. But the quicker I am feeling better, the better. Because tomorrow I am going with my sister and nieces to set up my classroom for next year!

I had strep over the 4th of July weekend. I also had to have 2 shots in the hip of antibiotics. I felt 100% in about 2 days and it was great because I hate taking pills.

I hope you feel better soon.

I hate pills and I hate needles.

I got my RH-Immuneglobin Shots during my pregnancies and after births in my hip and I thought it hurt a lot less than shots in the arm. Of course I didn't care about the embarrasment right after giving birth.
