Today Stephen and I went to a baby blessing. What was so exciting about it was it was my old roommate's, Jan's baby. My sophmore year of college, we lived in the same apartment, and we hit it off. We ended up rooming together two and half years in all.
She now lives in Ogden, and had her baby two months ago. She had a girl, Elora Kay Whiting. It was wonderful to see her, and her family. During holidays and school breaks I would spend time with her family, because it was too expensive for me to go home. Her parents became my East Coast parents, and her siblings, my surrogate brothers and sisters.
It is fun to see that after missions, and weddings, and her now having a kid, that things are the same. We have not changed, and even though we haven't seen each other in over a year, we always pick up right where we left off
