Not too long ago our apartment complex was bought by someone else, and I am not a fan of this new company. Before when there was ever a problem with anything in our apartment, they would have it fixed by the next day. Well, I reported a problem with our apartment a week ago and it still has not been fixed. I know that what we need fixed isn't a big deal, the towel bar is broke, and so is the fan in our bathroom, but still. I reminded them yesterday of the problem, and the man promised me that it would be fixed. But the day has come and gone, and it is still broke. Just one more reason for us to move. Not that we really wanted to stay anyway. One main reason is the crime rate. Here is an article of something that happened on July 2. This happened about 4 blocks from where we live.

Oh that stinks. I agree. Though the problem may be minor, you're the paying tenant.
Isn't there a way you can sub-lease your apartment so you can leave before your contract is up with out any penalties?
