Bad Things Come in Threes

Looking over the past couple of weeks I have seen two not so pleasant things happen. One is I got a nasty cold, and second that I had to get my wisdom teeth out. My mom always said that bad things come in threes, so I have been wondering what the third thing would be. Well, I don't need to wonder any longer.

I got back from Utah last night, feeling pretty good and I a little hungry, so I thought, I will have myself some toast. I got my bread out of the freezer only to find that they had almost fuzed together by the means of ice. I thought, no problem. I just got myself a handly dandy knife, this is not the first time this has happened. I try to pry the bread a part with the knife but with no success. I decided to saw around the bread. So with my left hand on the bread and the knife with my right hand I try to saw/pry the bread. The knife goes crazy and the next thing I know I have cut out a big chunk of thumb. I put pressure on it, thinking, no biggy. Well 45 minutes it is still gushing blood, so I get to go to the emergency room. My roommates and I were having a great time, laughing and thinking how stupid this situation really is. About an hour after I got there, the doctor comes in and decides I need stitches, so I got two beautiful stitches on my thumb. My favorite part is that is wasn't cut incredibly deep, but more long. This means that they after the thumb has healed it will appear that my thumb is dented. Wow, I am so cool

Ugh! Too bad mom was right. Will the stitches dissolve or do you have to have them removed?

I have to get them removed next Wednesday. Meaning they will be there when we get our engagement pics taken on wednesday. Bummer

Hmmm... I think that it will match the dent in your arm from the plasma gig. At least you coordinate.

That is awful, that must have been so painful. I got my wedding ring finger cut off when I was 4 and got it sewed back on. I think it looks ugly but it's hard for others to notice until I point the stitches out.
