Catch-Up

I have missed some posts, so I will mesh them all into one.

We have had our "C" and "D" dates. For our "C" date we played croquet, ate cheeseburgers, and played Chutes and Ladders. We were going to watch the movie Clue, but we didn't get it from Netflix on time. For our "D" date Stephen made dinner, and we watched Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows. I love these dates so much. It gives Stephen and I a direction on where to go with the dates, so we just don't look at each other and say, "What do you wanna do tonight", "Uh, I don't know know, what do you wanna do". As we get farther into the alphabet we will need to be more creative as well. What can we do that starts with "E"?

School has started, and I'm surviving. I will admit that one night, the week before school started, where the teachers were back at work preparing for the new year that I freaked out a little. I was laying in bed and just started crying. I realized the reason why it is hard for me. It is not because I don't want to be home with Alex, or that I would rather have more money. I was doing something for four years that I enjoyed. Sure it was hard, and I had to work at it, but I loved it. I love teaching and helping kids learn. I am grateful though that I will be able to use those skills to teach Alex, and our future kids as well.

I'll leave you with a short video of Alex's favorite new toy. Thanks Karen!
