First of all, I now have a class of 30 kids. Throughout the week more and more kids kept on coming in. I don't know if my room can handle anymore kids!
The kids themselves are good, so far. It is hard to tell in the first week because they are still quiet and nervous about being in a new class with a new teacher. I am sure that soon that their personalities will come out, and I can really see what I'm dealing with. Some nice things that I have this year is a full time aid. I have two kids in my class that are really low, and require an aid. That will be so nice! The aid will do anything basically, I am excited for the extra help in the classroom.
I'm not sure why, but there seems to be so much more work this year. Everyday I'm coming in at 8:15 and not leaving till after 5:00. Last year I was somehow able to come in at 8:30 and leave at 4:00. It makes for some busy days.
My ESL endorsement classes start this Thursday from 4-7. Yuck! I have a feeling I am going to be living at the school this year!

Wow good luck Krissy. Sure looks like you have your work cut out for you this year. That Oct irls trip is sounding better and better I bet!!
