Night at the Opera

We were supposed to go to the Opera last weekend, but when we went to buy the tickets, it was already sold out, so we went yesterday instead. First of all, I love that my husband wants to go to the opera, and I don't have to drag him there. He was the one that was so persistent on us going actually!

The one bummer about going yesterday is that we are both sick with colds. Not terrible, but just really annoying. We went armed with our tissues and cough drops, determined not to let it deter is from our from evening.

We saw The Marraige of Figaro at the Capitol Theatre dowtown. The outside looks terrible, but the inside was beautiful. Not as great as the theatre in St. Petersburg, but not bad for Utah. The singing was amazing, and since it was Italian, they even had a screen that said in English what they were singing, very helpful.

The only bad part was that it started at 7:30, and ended at about 11:00. Not good because not only do I go to bed at 10:30, but being sick on top of it, I was tired. So, I slept through most of the last act. I felt bad because it was so good, but I was SO tired. Oops!
