So I have been here for a couple of days and having a good time. I got here Friday night. We watched Sahara and just chilled. We waited for Jan's parents to come in, and so we were up to three! I haven't stayed up that late in a long time! We slept in until nine. Not too bad.
On Saturday we went to SLC and saw the Joseph Smith movie all together. It was really good. After that I met up with some mission buddies. I was glad because I love Jan, but hanging out with her parents and husband is not my idea of the best time. So my old companion and an elder that I served with for six months went to Park City and walked around and just caught up. It was really chill but nice.
Today we had church at nine, so we went, came home, had lunch, and slept. We are going to have a BBQ for dinner, and just chill. Jan's parents are leaving tomorrow morning and I am taking off around five. We might see the third pirates, I heard it was good.
THis weekend has been nice, it has been good to see Jan, but things are different. She is married and has moved on. I love her though and so glad that I could see her. I think the next time I see her will just be for lunch for something. It was nice to see Jan's parents also, they are great. I am excited to go back and see my friends and be at my apartment. There really is nothing like being home.

I remember when I visited my best friend when I was married and Karen was a baby and my friend was still single. I loved seeing my friend, but our relationship changed. We never hung out after that, plus I was living in Indiana at the time.
Change can be hard sometimes, but that is life, huh?
You'll have to post a movie review if you go to POC3!
I hear ya - it's hard being in different places than your used to be best friends. But, after a few years things tend to even out if you can endure the weirdness. I wish I could come do that race with you!
